F.I.S.H   Folders....

FISH Folder: The F.I.S.H. folder is extremely important in our classroom.  It is a communication tool for parent, teacher, and student.  Please sign the behavior log each night next to your child’s behavior color.  Each Monday the students will take home their HW packet for the week in their FISH folder.  It should be returned on Friday in the front pocket of their FISH folder.   Also in their FISH folder will be our class newsletter, a Read to Lead Calendar, spelling lists, and any other important information from the school.  On Thursdays, students will take home their graded assignments from previous week in the back pocket of the FISH folder.

Behavior Plan

As part of our classroom behavior management system, students are rewarded for their good behavior.

Students begin each day with their clip on green.  If a classroom rule is broken, they will be asked to move their clip to the following color.  If a child improves their behavior, I do allow them to move back up one color.

     Classroom Rules
Raise your hand to speak.
Respect teachers, students, and school property.
Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Clean up your area before you leave it.
Follow directions when asked.
Breaking a classroom/school rule will result in moving his/her clip.     These steps/colors correspond to the Fulton County Behavior System.

Step #1(ORANGE) :  Verbal Warning
Step #2( YELLOW):  Classroom time out (15 min) and complete Action Plan
Step #3 (BLUE):  Classroom time out (30 min in another room), Complete Action Plan, call home
Step #4 (RED):  One hour office time out for every offense after this one and formal conference with the teacher, parent, and administration or counselor.
